At times like that I'm always thinking, "Why should it be that I have to read a lot of books, but reading manga is bad?" What's the difference between manga and books in the first place? Isn't it just whether there are pictures attached or not!? I think adults are just baselessly deciding that 'manga is not so good.'"

I never read Manga, always thought anime is more enjoyable experience than manga?
Anyone else feel same. I read manga once (one piece manga). didnt like it. I prefer when theirs sound and animations
Books, simple as that. People don't say that you should read books as you grow up because they think the story will not be as good in manga/comics. Kids can read whatever they want as they grow up but they need to read books, as it help your understanding of written language in a way that manga/comics does not.
Read both, I say.
