Padding out their release lineup? Thinking it'll sell to a niche audience of obsessed fans which I'd be surprised if they existed?
Could be worse. Though I haven't actually seen the anime, I've heard they at least didn't butcher it by doing an anime original storyline and ending, as numerous anime have done in the past. At least leaving it open to the possibility of a second season means the complete story might get animated one day. It does raise the question though of why so many things do get animated so early. It's one thing when it's a shounen series that you expect to have a lot...
I think that was probably the first full length anime movie I ever saw as a child. The first one I ever saw subtitled too for that matter.
Presumably the failure of One Piece in international markets has a lot to do with the initial poor dub?
That's certainly a lot better looking than I was expecting. Will have to look into this further.
Meh, will still be picking this up on the Wii U. Not just for the history factor of being Australia's first R18+ rated game, but also because off-TV play makes everything more convenient. Also, Miiverse.
Following this up for you, please see my PM. I know several things were sent out this past week, so I don't know why you still haven't received it unless it's ended up in a spam folder or something.
I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I believe sometime later this month. I'll post a blog when it's up.
Quite tempted to pick this up before it gets sold out, simply because it'd be cool to have for when my own kids (when I have them) are growing up.
Yours is the first piece of negative feedback we've gotten in response to those contests tayz. Could you elaborate on why you didn't like them? Though we were going to tweak the points system based on our experiences from 2012, we had been intending to retain the basic format for Christmas this year.
I'm not going to reveal *which* questions were chosen for the Quizify app. That'd just spoil the fun! You'll have to try the app yourself when it's out to see. ;) List of winners for that contest being added to the opening post now.
I did want you to PM those, yes. But that's my fault for missing you asking the question there, so no worries.
Not being American, I actually wasn't aware that Detective Conan only aired on Adult Swim in the states. I suppose I shouldn't be all that surprised though. Not sure how bad it is there, but Cartoon Network here in Australia are infamous for cutting things out of shows like Adventure Time, there's ridiculous levels of censorship going on. I imagine Detective Conan would have gotten the shaft if it played in a child friendly hour.
It's a pity that they'll probably never revisit these alternative interpretations of the characters. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see more of this version of Naruto and crew.
Huh. This actually sounds fairly interesting. It's a different twist, I'll give it that. I just hope it's a comedic slice of life thing and not fanservice central.
Considering the people likely to actually have that app installed, I think we can safely say that the sample for this survey was rather biased towards a very specific sub-group of Japanese anime otaku.
Nintendo have no mercy on nor sympathy for my wallet, do they?
An adaptation of Genshiken Nidaime? Huh, didn't expect to see that. Remind me, did the original anime ever actually get up to the point of graduation of those 1st generation members? I can't recall exactly how that matched up to the manga chapters.
I know fishing games have come to western shores before, that part is normal enough. But combining fishing with anime style characters? I'm not so sure that combination would sell well in the west, in all honesty.
Well, there goes my money.
