Fushiguro Toji is one of the most anticipated antagonists in Season 2 of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. Of course, there are a few reasons for this other than fans absolutely loving this character design and, ahem, the plot. However, while anime enthusiasts are with a fine-looking older man, many would still like to know more about him. In this guide, we will detail who Toji is in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen – Who is Toji?
Toji is the primary antagonist for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2; however, there is more to his character than what you may expect from the trailers. If you haven’t guessed by now, Toji is the father of Megumi and was part of the Zenin Clan. During his time in the Zenin Clan, he was known as the infamous assassin, the Sorcerer Killer. He was contracted by the Time Vessel Association, which would later become the Star Religious Group.
Toji is a cool-headed man that uses his skills to make a living. As such, he comes in contact with the above group. But, lured by the scent of money for his gambling addiction, he will take any assignment. Like any person with an extreme gambling addiction, Toji would go as far as selling Megumi off to the Zenin Clan and exploiting him for the cursed technique he will inherit. One thing to note about Toji is that he has no cursed power, similar to Maki.
Also similar to Maki, he was ostracized and thus became resentful towards all cursed ability users. This may have been why he attempted to sell off his son. Unfortunately for many anime enthusiasts, he will pass away in the fight with Gojo. However, as he lies dying, he informs Gojo of Megumi’s fate. So while he may not be the father of the year, you could say he at least tried!
