Did Mikasa Marry Jean In Attack on Titan?

When an anime ends or is close to ending, one of the main things anime fans want to see is who the characters end up with. Through Attack on Titan, we see a sort of (but not really) love triangle between Eren, Jean, and Mikasa. But who does Mikasa end up with? In this guide, we’ll detail if Mikasa will marry Jean in Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan – Did Mikasa marry Jean?

As Attack on Titan is reaching its final episode, many anime enthusiasts are wondering what has become of Mikasa Ackerman. Many fans believed that Eren hated Mikasa; however, this was never the case. In fact, in the final chapter, Eren does confess that he adores her. Knowing this information and that Eren dies, many anime fans wonder if Mikasa marries Jean.

We can speculate that Mikasa does indeed marry Jean in Attack on Titan. We’ll explain. When we are first introduced to Jean, we learn that he applied to the 104th Cadet Corps to join the Military Police to hide behind the safety of Wall Sina. This, of course, doesn’t sit well with Eren, who aspires to join the Survey Corps and fight the Titans.

This is when Jean meets Mikasa, and he also compliments her shoulder-length black hair. By this tie, we already know Mikasa is in love with Eren, and the other Cadets (and Jean) pick up on this too. This interaction leads to “bad blood” between Eren and Jean. After this, Jean doesn’t act on his emotions toward Mikasa.

After the final battle

It has been three years since the battle of Heaven and Earth, and we can see Mikasa again sporting longer hair tied into a ponytail. From what we can tell in the manga, Jean has been away from Paradis Island and can be seen fixing his hair as he returns. With the two manga panels you see above, we see a woman visiting Erens grave, and it seems to be Mikasa. (Because who else would visit?)

In the second panel, we see a woman visiting Erens grave and a man who looks to be Jean from behind. Based on these two panels, we can speculate Mikasa does marry Jean in Attack on Titan. In the following few panels, we also see her visit the grave with two men, two women, and four children. We also see one of the men assisting her by putting a flower on Erens grave. This tells us that she will marry (someone) and have children with them.
