Since Sanji was introduced to the Straw Hat crew, he has been butting heads with Zoro for the next 1,000 episodes of One Piece. Though the two are constantly at each other’s throats, calling each other names like Mosshead at Zoro or Mr. Nosebleed at Sanji, they have never properly thrown hands. Of course, the One Piece community will be in a sweet treat if a fight breaks out. Why? Because a battle between two of the strongest members will surely be a blast! Who is stronger: Zoro or Sanji in One Piece?
The winner is the Vice Captain of the Straw Hat crew: Roronoa Zoro! Of course, there are a few reasons for this, so we’ll break it down. You may have thought Sanji would be stronger than Zoro because he has recently awakened his Germa 66 abilities. However, while these abilities have greatly enhanced his body, it does not mean he is a match for Zoro.
Aside from abilities, one moment sticks out to us during the Wano Arc. This is when Luffy and Sanji are trying to reach Kaido and are intercepted by enemies. Sanji suggested he would take them on; however, Luffy, his Captain, declined, saying it would take too long and he would assist Sanji. If being rejected by your Captain is not insulting enough, then we don’t know what is.
If Zoro were to take on enemies to allow Luffy to pass, Luffy would have absolute faith in Zoro, but we digress. This was a means to show that Zoro is stronger than Sanji in terms of what Luffy has said in passing.
Who has the stronger abilities?
As mentioned earlier, Sanji has recently awakened his Germa 66 enhancement powers, meaning he is much more durable than before. In addition, he also received a Raid Suit, which comes with the ability to be invisible and increase his durability while in the suit. Additionally, Sanji is also able to use Kenbunshoku and Busohoku haki.
Zoro, however, has received training from Dracule Mihawk, the Strongest Swordsman in the World. In addition, unlike Sanji, Zoro can use all three types of Haki: Haoshoku, Kenbunshoku, and Busoshoku. Recently, during the Wano Arc, he also received a new sword called Enma, increasing his swordsmanship.
If a fight were to break out between the two, Zoro would be able to spot Sanji using Conqueror’s Haki easily. Though the fight will be challenging due to Sanji’s enhancements, Zoro is known for his endurance.
Sanji is strong in his own right. However, Zoro is much stronger based on how much hard work he has put into his training. While Sanji can hold his own against many opponents, remember that his position in the Crew is that of a Cook. We’re sure if Sanji were to spend more time training, he would be on par with Zoro. Though Sanji’s new Germa abilities are a game changer, Zoro, without any enhancements, is much stronger than Sanji.
