The ODM Gear is equipment that takes the form of a body harness. The harness will be strapped onto the hips and waist of the soldiers. A few apparatus form the ODM Gear: Hand Grips, Piston-shot grapple hooks, Gas-powered mechanism, and Iron wire propeller with plug-in blades.

Note: To use this Gear, you must join the Cadet Corps and undergo training. This training is to determine if you can use the ODM Gear in the case of attacking Titans.

The ODM Gear is best used in situations with tall trees and buildings. This is because the grapple hooks are meant to hook into an object, Titan, or structure; and assist the user in reeling themself in for the kill. Using this momentum, the user can apply enough force with the blades to cut into a Titan’s nape; they can also make for a quick getaway in Attack on Titan.
